CI at the European Hair Transplant workshop 2014

Dr. Cole recently attended the ISHRS European Hair Transplant Workshop as one of the 7 distinguished Faculty Members from across the world. The workshop was held in Dr. Jean DevRoye’s state of the art strip hair transplant clinic in Brussels, Belgium. The clinic was geared to accommodate a wide range of individuals including those with intermediate and advanced skills. During the entirety of the workshop, attendees had the opportunity to learn about the differences between Follicular Unit Transplant (FUT-strip) and Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) type hair transplants. Other learning opportunities included Scalp Micropigmentation and the use of body hair as a substitute for scalp hair. Dr. Cole gave lectures on how to safely perform FUE and body hair transplants. Dr. Cole also performed a live surgery demonstration for the 125 attendees from around the world. A total of 6 live hair surgeries were performed at the clinic. Those who participated had the chance to converse with the Faculty Members and learn from the leading hair transplant physicians.

Following the meeting, Dr. Mwamba hosted a dinner at his Brussels home for Dr. Cole, Dr. Wolf, Dr. DevRoye, and Dr. Shapiro. The participants had more than 100 years of hair transplant experience. Collectively, they made up the best hair transplant physicians in the world.
